I stopped hiding — here’s how clarity made me feel legit
Share
There was a time I’d lower my voice when someone asked what I did.
I’d fumble through a half-answer like:
“Oh, I do coaching… mindset stuff... I help people with alignment, kind of.”
I didn’t sound like someone confident in their offer.
And honestly? I didn’t feel like one either.
I second-guessed every post. I over-explained myself on discovery calls.
And even though my work changed lives, I secretly wondered if I was just “faking it better” than most.
But here’s the thing:
It wasn’t my skills that were off.
It was my messaging.
I didn’t know how to clearly describe what I did, who it was for, or why it mattered — in a way that felt like me.
So I either said too much, or I said nothing at all.
And over time, that disconnect started to eat away at my confidence.
What helped?
I sat down with the Customer StarMap™ Power Workshop — not to create a pitch, but to understand my people.
I mapped out what they needed to hear… and what I needed to believe.
And for the first time, my words matched my work.
My confidence wasn’t about “faking it” anymore — it came from clarity.
I could finally say, out loud and unapologetically:
“This is what I do. This is who I help. And I’m really good at it.”
That shift didn’t just change how I showed up.
It changed how people responded.
If you've ever felt like you're playing small or talking in circles, you're not the only one.
