Clarity = conversions. The 3 messaging fixes that worked
Share
You’re getting profile views.
People are clicking.
Some even say, “Love what you do!”
But… they’re not buying.
You’re not alone.
Most solo consultants, creators, and advisors don’t have a traffic problem.
They have a clarity problem.
When people are confused, they hesitate.
When they hesitate, they bounce.
When they bounce, you lose business.
Here are the 3 messaging fixes that made the biggest difference for me — and can for you too:
1. Stop trying to sound smart
This one hurts, I know.
But a lot of us try to pack our experience into language that proves our credibility — and end up sounding abstract or vague.
Example:
❌ “Transformative frameworks for adaptive leadership”
vs.
✅ “Help your managers lead with clarity and confidence — starting next week.”
Say what you mean. Make it sound like how you talk in real life.
2. Cut your hero’s journey in half
We all love a good story — but not when it takes five paragraphs to get to the point.
Clients don’t need to know everything about how you got here.
They need to know if you understand them.
Use storytelling strategically — as a mirror, not a memoir.
3. Make your offer impossible to misunderstand
This one’s big.
People shouldn’t have to read your sales page twice.
Or guess what’s included.
Or wonder what they’ll walk away with.
The Customer StarMap™ Power Workshop helped me break down what I offer into one clear promise, 3 bullet points, and a CTA that actually made sense.
No more “Let’s hop on a discovery call.”
Just: Here’s what it is. Here’s who it’s for. Here’s what happens next.
